Roskilde donates 1 million to hip hop centre in Gaza

The Roskilde Festival Charity Society supports young people in one of the world’s hot spots. In March 2009 a donation of one million Danish kroner (approx. € 135,000) was given to the Danish Centre for Culture and Development (DCCD) – an institution whose purpose is to incorporate culture in the Danish development aid. The hip hop centre will form the frame of a training course in the disciplines of hip hop – concerts, events etc. – and generally strengthen the youth culture in Gaza in a peaceful manner.
